FALL RIVER… Paul L. Menezes, 42, of Fall River passed away March 9, 2016 at his home. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Luis and Margarida (Nunes) Menezes of Westport. Mr. Menezes was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fall River and graduated from New England Institute of Technology in 2004 with an Associate’s Degree in Business. He was a member of the Club Madeirense SS Sacramento in New Bedford and enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and spending time with his family. Along with his parents, Paul leaves his son, Evan Menezes of Fall River, 2 brothers, David Menezes and Peter Menezes, both of Westport, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday at 8 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Espirito Santo Church, 311 Alden St, Fall River, MA 02723. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Calling hours will be held Monday from 6-8 PM.

FALL RIVER… Robert J. Jackson, 72, of Fall River, passed away March 25, 2016 at Our Lady’s Haven in Fairhaven. He was the loving husband of Florence (Soares) Jackson. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late James A. and Alice M. (Kelly) Jackson and was a lifelong resident of this city. Prior to his retirement in 2008 as a maintenance man with Shaw’s for 12 years, Mr. Jackson had worked at the Highland Manor Nursing Home for 5 years, at the Swansea and Dartmouth Malls and drove busses for the Union Street Bus Company for 13 years. He was formerly active in the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and St. Anne’s Fellowship. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Along with his wife, survivors include 3 daughters: Joanne Jackson of Lorton, VA, Kathleen Jackson of Fall River & Ellen McCabe ( Thomas) of Fall River, a son: Michael Jackson (Debi) of Westport, 5 grandchildren: Christopher McCabe, Brandon Jackson, Zachary McCabe, Joshua Maltais and Tyler Maltais, his cousins: Ellen, Anthony, Kelly, Russell, Donald and Ada, his granddaughter by heart: Kaisey Kennedy, his sister and brother in-laws and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the first floor staff at Our Lady’s Haven and Beacon Hospice Care for the compassionate care they gave “their Bobby”. Marc Anthony Esperanca, 24, of Berkley, MA, passed away on April 5th. Marc was born in Fall River, and attended Coyle-Cassidy High School, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and Southeastern Technical Institute. He worked as a nurse for Culture Care, and was a member of the Fall River Elks. Marc loved all animals, but especially loved riding and caring for horses. His love of life and sense of humor were infectious. He touched many lives in his short life with his loving and generous ways. Marc was the loving son of Brenda Esperanca and Michael Esperanca. He is survived by his grandparents, Raymond & Rose Carreira, and Evelyn Esperanca. He will be sadly missed by his sister Anne, cousins Kayla & Katie Carreira, Auntie Lisa, Auntie Jo, Uncle Gil, his aunt Susan, and all of his beloved family and many, many friends.
